President Uhuru Kenyatta has given huge support to KTN journalist Jeff Koinange who has recently faced fierce criticism over his handling of his JKL show.
Koinange on Thursday thanked the President for making the dreams of a guest who had appeared on JKL come true after close to seven weeks.
The journalist narrated the story of 9-year old Natalie Wambui, an author who was on the show and expressed her wish to meet President Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
During the show, Wambui - who is also a poet - stated that one of her dreams was to also give the First family copies of her book.
The young girl's dream seem to have come true after the Kenyattas met her on an undisclosed day and received a signed book.
Koinange showered Kenyatta with praise for meeting the young girl, adding that the Head of State's move affirmed that JKL Show was always meant to “inspire, motivate and help turn dreams into reality”.
“On behalf of the whole Jeff Koinange Show team, I would like to thank the President and the First Lady for watching our show and turning a little girl's dream to reality,” he stated.
A week ago, Koinange found himself on the receiving end after majority of Kenyans blamed him for failing to control a controversial engagement between Nairobi gubernatorial aspirants Miguna Miguna and Esther Passaris.
The debate, which was marred by verbal personal attacks, escalated after Miguna stated that Passaris was "so beautiful that everybody wanted to rape her", yet the show continued with Koinange blushing off the matter.
