VIDEO: Technicians Badly Electrocuted in Nairobi

Two electricians have been electrocuted in Nairobi while repairing street lights in a residential area.

It is reported that the crane they were using during the operation came in contact with the live wires, badly injuring them.

In a video that captured the incident partly, one of the electricians is seen completely helpless with his hands dangling from the crane.

His colleague, on the other hand, appears a bit stronger but he can hardly move. The two were rescued by their workmates who were on site, with one of the victims being brought down while unconscious.

Kenya Power confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that the injured technicians, equipment and estate light captured in the video did not have any association to the electricity company.

In April, two technicians from Nakuru County were horrifically burnt while attending to a transmission line. The accident which was captured on tape led to the death of one worker who sustained 50-percent burns.
