Cabinet Secretary for Devolution and Planning Anne Waiguru has filed new suits against Google.
The CS has revived her fight with the internet giant Google, Google Kenya and Kenya's Daily Post for an alleged defamatory story published about her.
The said story was published during the sacking of the then Chairman of Youth Development Fund Gor Semelango
In the lawsuit Ms Waiguru claims that the post published in May and April last year on Daily Post has caused her trauma and embarrassment.
She pointed out that the story which is still on the world wide web has been used to bully her school-going children and therefore immediate action ought to be taken.
Though Google in this case was only a carrier of the story, the suit is set to determine whether it should be responsible for its client's actions, the Daily Post.
The CS wants compensation for damages and the content pulled down.
Waiguru is yet to serve Google with the suit's papers.
She has asked the court to summon Google Inc within 15 days, as required by law when a party to a suit is based outside the court’s jurisdiction.
