The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has urged 2025 graduates yet to pick up their certificates to do so before the end of today, Wednesday, December 17.
In a notice on Wednesday, the college stated that these graduates should ensure that they pick up their certificates at the KMTC headquarters in Nairobi.
For one to pick the certificate, he /she should ensure that they have completed their clearances with the college, according to the college.
"Attention Graduating Class of 2025. Today is the final day to collect your certificates! If you haven’t picked yours up yet, make sure to head over to the KMTC Headquarters in Nairobi before the window closes," the college said.
"Ensure you have completed your clearance with the College. Don’t miss out on securing your hard-earned credentials. See you there!" it added.
The medical college has a total of 91 campuses and satellite campuses across the country.
These campuses, which are located in 45 counties, hold over 60,000 students who are pursuing different medical-related courses.
This year, the college released a total of 22,776 students into the job market after the 94th graduation ceremony, which was graced by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
According to a notice on Monday, November 12, by the Institution's Chief Executive Officer, Kelly Oluoch, the college started issuing certificates from Monday, December 8.
"The certificates will be available for collection from the KMTC Headquarters, Nairobi, from Monday, December 8 to Wednesday, 17, 2025 (9am-4pm) on weekdays only, upon clearance with the college," the notice read.
In his remarks during the graduation ceremony, Kindiki acknowledged the college's role in strengthening the country's healthcare capacity.
"Kindiki praised the College for producing 80per cent of the country’s middle-level health workforce and for pioneering programs that support national health reforms, including training in health insurance, oncology, palliative care, nursing, midwifery, and primary health care," a statement from Kindiki stated.
A KMTC certificate is a crucial document in an aspiring practitioner's ambitions, as it confirms that a student has completed training programs in a health discipline at the college and that they have the necessary knowledge and practical knowledge to work as a health professional.
The certificate is a mandatory requirement for job applications in public and private health facilities, NGOs, and community health programs.
