You Are Not Ready For The 2017 Elections,Ruto Tells CORD

Opposition leaders affiliated with the Coalitions For Reforms And Democracy have been told they cannot successfully compete with the Jubilee government.

Speaking at a fundraiser in Othaya Constituency Deputy President William Ruto reprimanded CORD over their plans of taking over the government come 2017.

Ruto said that the Jubilee Coalition was prepared for 2017 with a presidential candidate and a sponsor party unlike the opposition.

He also added that Kenyans should not trust leaders who do not have a party nor a candidate for the presidency.

“We already have a presidential candidate in Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP). The opposition cannot be trusted with the leadership since they do not even have a party nor a candidate,” said Ruto.

An Ipsos opinion that was released two months ago showed that Kenyans related with Jubilee affiliated political parties .

According to the poll, 43 per cent of Kenyans are close to Jubilee affiliated political parties, while 32 per cent are close to the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) affiliated political parties.

However various members of the opposition disapproved the findings saying that the polls were not reflective of the true situation and questioned figures on the coalition’s popularity.
