Former Tusker Project Fame Principal Hellen Mtawali Bitterly Complains After Her Brother Dan Nyambuga was Killed During Huruma Ward MCA Peter Owere's Rally

Former Tusker Project Fame (TPF) Principal Hellen Mtawali has sent out an emotional message criticising Kenyan leaders after her brother was murdered at a political rally in Mathare presided over by Huruma Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Peter Owera.

Ms Mtawali took to social media where she wrote: "I denounce leaders who sacrifice fellow human beings. I detest a Kenyan leader who still believes in human sacrifice. We want leaders whose hands are clean.”

The Singer's brother Dan Nyambuga was campaigning for Mathare Parliamentary seat Aspirant Antony Oluoch when his team got into a clash with Mr Owera’s group.

Mr Nyambuga was stabbed severely by the MCA's supporters leading to his death. Several other people were injured.

The former TPF Judge announced her brother's death through a Facebook post where she wrote, "R.I.P my one and only brother Dan Nyambuga Jared. We loved you but God loved you most. I will miss your jokes bro."

Mr Owera was arrested on Monday and taken to Huruma Police station where he is being held alongside three others.

The MCA alongside five other individuals were arraigned in court today to answer to charges of killing the bodyguard.

The six, however, did not plead to any criminal charges after the defence asked the court for more time to reply to a miscellaneous application filed by the prosecution.

The prosecution pleaded with the court to remand the accused for 14 days to enable police officers conclude investigations into the killing.
