The Kerugoya High Court has issued an arrest warrant against National Lands Commission (NLC) Chairman Dr Muhammad Swazuri.
This was after he failed to honour summons to appear in court.
On Sunday, the National Assembly’s departmental committee on Lands which was investigating allegations of misconduct against Swazuri found him unfit to lead the commission.
The committee accused the NLC Chairman of serious integrity issues.
Swazuri allegedly used taxpayers' money to compensate individuals for grabbed land without the knowledge of the commission.
Some of the lands he paid for were found to be government land owned by Kenya Railway's Corporation (KRC).
Last month, a petitioner known as Mugo Njeru revealed to the Parliamentary Committee that he paid a Sh1.2 Million bribe to Mr Swazuri.
Mugo claimed the bribe was given to facilitate compensation for his land that had been targeted by the government for the construction of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).
