Former Vice President Moody Awori has revealed interesting details somehow explaining his apparent physical fitness despite his advanced age.
Uncle Moody, as he is fondly referred to, disclosed that every morning at 4:30 am he does 30 press ups.
The 89-year-old real estate mogul also disclosed that for the last 40 years he has been doing floor exercises that involve serious stretching which he learnt from a Sikh woman when he had a serious back problem, which is now long gone.
“I lie on my back and then I flip over until my feet touch the ground. Then I get up and do that again… 150 times,” Awori narrated in an interview with the Nation.
The former vice president also takes a 5-kilometre walk five days a week from his home in Muthangari area in Nairobi to Safaricom House along Waiyaki way.
“I walk without fail. Even when it is raining heavily I have no excuse because I have a raincoat and waterproof walking shoes,” Awori states.
Mr Awori owns property in Lavington Muthangari, Kisumu, Mombasa and Upper Hill.
He also plays an advisory role at Eveready Limited and Sammer Africa.
Awori supports a number of students across different universities in Kenya.
