The China Roads and Bridges Corporation (CRBC) has distanced itself from an earlier advertisement of 400 jobs on the Standard Guage Railway (SGR).
Through their official twitter handle, CRBC announced that the said jobs were a scam warning Kenyans not to apply for the positions.
The firm, which is operating the SGR train, clarified that in their recruitment they did not charge any application or registration fees for job vacancies.
Additionally, they requested Kenyans to refrain from forwarding the link to unsuspecting job seekers.
The con advert had earlier stated that the Railway firm was looking to hire machine operators, cleaners, shop attendants, passenger stewards, guards, storekeepers and station attendants with a lucrative package with salaries ranging from Sh25,000.
