Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata Demands Raila Odinga's Jailing After Presidential Election

Murang'a Senator Irungu Kang'ata has called for the jailing of National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga after the presidential election.

Speaking at Uhuru Park on Saturday during a Jubilee Party rally led by Uhuru Kenyatta, Kang'ata stated that the former Prime Minister should be prosecuted for his past crimes.

Mr Irungu declared that after the October 17 presidential election which he asserted Mr Kenyatta would win, the Jubilee leaders will ensure that the former Premier is imprisoned.

He noted that he, Mr Odinga had a record of viciously attacking the President and his deputy yet no action has been taken against him.

The Senator also noted that the Jubilee Party had evidence that the Supreme Court judges were bribed by the NASA-led team in order to win the presidential petition.

He further pointed out that the evidence presented at the court was fake adding that the Party had enough proof.

Mr Irung'u also indicated that the decision which nullified President Kenyatta's re-election proves that Mr Odinga was a product of the Supreme Court.

He faulted the Supreme Court decision noting that Mr Kenyatta won and that is evidenced by the majority elected Senators, MPs and Governors.

Some of MPs who also addressed the crowd in Uhuru Park included Lang'ata lawmaker Nixon Korir, Nairobi County Speaker Beatrice Elachi and former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
