Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro Threatens to Resign

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has threatened to resign if President Uhuru Kenyatta is defeated in the repeat presidential poll.

Speaking during a campaign trail in Mathioya Constituency on Sunday, Nyoro also declared he would resign if President Kenyatta failed to garner more than 55 percent of the votes.

The MP stressed that he could not serve in a government led by National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga.

Nyoro stated that the opposition lacked a clear agenda for the country thus did not deserve to be voted in.

“I am very ready to resign if you will not reelect President Uhuru Kenyatta because I can only realise my development goals in the Jubilee regime,” Nyoro announced.

He further condemned NASA MPs for failing to attend parliamentary sessions stating that they were failing their electorate.

Nyoro was accompanied by MPs Alice Wahome (Kandara), Mary Waithera (Maragua), Joseph Nduati (Gatanga), Peter Kimari (Mathioya) and Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata.

“Kenyans should wake up and put into power leaders who are development oriented and ignore those who are calling them to participate in meaningless demonstrations,” remarked Nyoro.

Nyoro’s sentiments were echoed by Kang'ata who stated that Kenyatta would remain the President with or without elections.

Kang'ata further stated that NASA was not ready for the repeat presidential poll adding that none of the Opposition principals was campaigning ahead of the October 26 elections.
