NASA Lawyer Otiende Amollo Humiliates Jubilee MP During TV Interview [VIDEO]

National Super Alliance (NASA) lawyer Otiende Amollo humiliated Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah when the Jubilee legislator stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta would be declared the winner if the repeat election does not take place.

During a Tuesday morning discussion on NTV, the two lawmakers disagreed on what should happen if NASA leader Raila Odinga boycotts the election.

"My friend [Mr Ichungwah] purports to educate me on the constitution forgetting that first I'm a lawyer and second, I wrote that constitution," he began.

Mr Amollo who is also the Rarieda MP further chided: "If it comes to the Constitution, I would educate you on many things and let me educate you on one right now.

"He then says that IEBC has the option of declaring President Kenyatta as the President without an election but he says that in ignorance of article 138 which I must remind him to go and read, then he would know that is not an option that is available," he stated.

The NASA MP faulted the Jubilee faction for turning away IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati during a joint parliamentary session last week.

"Chebukati is the spokesperson of IEBC and he directs and supervises the work of the Commission. Therefore, if the chairperson appears before you it is not in your place to say go and bring the other commissioners. They must say that when there are commissioners who are bidding for the will of Jubilee," Mr Amollo explained.

On Thursday. there was a brief standoff when some members of the Joint Parliamentary Select Committee on Election laws sent away the IEBC Chairman after he turned up without fellow Commissioners.

The MPs stated that the document Chebukati showed up with was only signed by the Chairman creating doubt on whether the commissioners had endorsed it.

Nairobi Senator Johnston Sakaja questioned the procedure of allowing Chebukati to speak alone yet it was the Commission that had been invited.

“Can the Chairman confirm that indeed he has a signed memorandum from the Commission? We didn’t invite the Chairman of the IEBC. We invited the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission,” he conveyed.
