Ex-Nairobi Town Clerk John Gakuo and former Permanent Secretary Sammy Kirui were on Tuesday sentenced to three years in jail for their involvement in a land scam.
The two were also fined Ksh1 Million for their role in the Ksh283 Million cemetery saga.
Their co-accused Mary Ngethe, a former city council Legal Secretary, and Alexander Musee were also found guilty of knowingly giving false information about the same and will each serve three years in prison too.

Further, Ngethe will pay a fine of Ksh52 Million or serve a further one year in jail while Musee will pay a fine of Ksh32 Million or serve a further one year in jail.
Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti stated that the prosecution demonstrated that Kirui and Gakuo knew the tender documents were false but did nothing to stop the embezzlement.
"It was a clear case. Only them know why they acted the way they did and failed to stop embezzling of public funds.
"I find them guilty and are convicted accordingly," he ruled.
In February this year, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko temporarily replaced former Deputy Governor Polycarp Igathe with Gakuo.
In a statement seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the Governor appointed the former town clerk as the co-chair of Nairobi Regeneration Committee whose main task was to regain the City's lost glory.
The letter by County Secretary Leboo Ole Morintat clarified that Mr Gakuo would replace the immediate Deputy Governor.
"H.E Governor Mike Sonko has appointed Mr John Gakuo as Co-chair of Nairobi Regeneration committee whose main task is to regain Nairobi lost glory. He will replace immediate Deputy Governor Mr Polycarp Igathe," part of the statement read.
