Two Pupils, Teacher Injured as Van Rolls Over at Dangerous Spot in Kisii

A teacher and two pupils are nursing injuries after being involved in an accident along Kisii-Kilgoris road on Monday evening.

Fairmont International School Van veered off the road plunging into a ditch near Kiogoro area in Kisii County.

The school management told Kenyans.co.ke that the Van had dropped most of the pupils except two who were in the company of their teacher and the school driver at the time of the accident.

"Our van got involved in an accident, we were able to get to the scene and a teacher who was with two pupils were helped come out and had minor injuries. We examined them at the scene and we have taken them for further checks. There were no casualties," Ms Noni Muthoni, a medical officer at the school confirmed on phone.

The school was opened officially in Kisii last week in an all fun and merry event to join the list of several private schools in the area.

The school is located along Daraja Mbili -Nyamataro road opposite Daraja Mbili mixed secondary school.

The Kisii-Kilogoris road is notorious spot characteristic with its sharp bends and steep sections that often put speeding motorists at risk.
