Former Nairobi Governor Evan Kidero has revealed what he regrets most about his administration.
In an interview with Citizen TV, the ex-county boss stated he wished he could have solved problems in the transport sector.
When journalist Sam Gituku asked him about the one thing he wishes he would have done, Kidero responded, "Sort out the transport mess."
When questioned on whether he would help the current Governor Mike Sonko make sense of the transport industry, he stated that he was ready to help.
"I saw Governor Sonko in Mombasa last week and he said he was going to invite me for a chat. I am looking forward to working with Governor Sonko," he stated.
During the interview, the former governor stated that he had taken time off politics to reflect on what went wrong in his administration.
He told the news anchor that one of the biggest hurdles was that half of the county's staff was ineffective.
He explained that the bloated workforce consumed a lot of funds which would have been used in development projects.
Kidero also decried that the national government denied his administration Kshs72 billion which had accumulated over time.
