1 Thing Sonko Admires in New British PM Boris Johnson

Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, on Tuesday, revealed a trait of the new British Prime Minister (PM), Boris Johnson, that he admired most.

Sonko posted a video of Johnson making a speech to the public, along Downing Street, concerning his duty towards citizens.

"My job is to serve you, the people, because there is one point we politicians need to remember, is that the people are our bosses," he began.

"My job is to make your streets safer, I'm gonna begin with another 20,000 police in the streets and we start recruiting forthwith," spoke Johnson.

Sonko captioned the video stating, "The British PM is a real Wanjiku."

This is because of the similarity in ideologies that Johnson and Sonko's team Wanjiku have in common.

Johnson, who was recently appointed, reminded politicians of their duty to citizens thus made his job to lead by example, by serving the people, promising better healthcare, security, and education for the Britons.

Team Wanjiku, that was recently launched by Sonko, Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, Kalembe Ndile among other political leaders, has been promising to alleviate citizens' suffering by providing better services.

Team Wanjiku aims to advance the interests of the poor and the less fortunate in society.

"Team Wanjiku is saying enough is enough. No one is there to protect the unemployed youths and women," announced Sonko in a past event.

"We are 100% supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta's Big 4 but all we are saying is Wanjiku should be given priority," Sonko noted.

The Nairobi governor added that 'Team Wanjiku' will not associate itself with other political groupings and will bring on board young elected leaders and youth from all the 47 counties.
