Sonko, Moses Kuria Join Forces to Form New Political Movement

Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria have formed an unofficial political movement to counter teams Tanga Tanga and Kieleweke.

The two have named the political movement 'Team Wanjiku' citing that leaders have forgotten the commoners and are fixated on 2022 succession politics.

Speaking during a church service rally in Kiambu on Sunday, the two leaders highlighted that the political movement aims to advance the interests of the poor and the less fortunate in the society.

"Team Wanjiku is saying enough is enough. No one is there to protect the unemployed youths and women.

"We are 100% supporting President Uhuru's Big 4 but all we are saying is Wanjiku should be given priority," Sonko noted.

The Nairobi governor added that 'Team Wanjiku' will not associate itself with either the two other teams and will bring on board young elected leaders and youth from all the 47 counties.

"We don't belong to any of these groups because they are undermining the president," he added.

On his part, the Gatundu South MP stated that it was unfortunate and embarrassing to see leaders engage in campaigns yet there were other issues affecting the poor in the country.

"Kenyans have to choose between leaders who want to talk about their issues and those who want to take them into political circles without anything meaningful to offer," Kuria noted.

In a press statement sent to newsrooms, the two leaders stated that a secretariat had already been formed and EALA MP Simon Mbugua would lead it.

Mbugua asserted that he was ready to work with like-minded leaders and Kenyans who want to advance the Big Four agenda and not with those endlessly politicking.
