Gospel musician, Joyce Omondi, like many women being pursued, did not give her now-husband, Citizen TV anchor, Waihiga Mwaura, an easy time when they first met.
While speaking on Switch TV's Chatspot show, Joyce narrated how she gave her husband Waihiga a hard time before they became an item.
Mwaura who had been smitten after seeing her on Rauka Show, launched a mission to catch her attention.
"I started this TV show, Rauka, and he was impressed when he saw me and he told his brother," she disclosed.
Joyce further admitted that Mwaura who was then love-struck, went to great lengths to meet her but to his disappointment, she refused to give in to his desires.
The Citizen TV anchor, whose birthday was approaching, saw it as a perfect opportunity to woe Joyce.
He went as far as inviting her together with her whole production crew to his birthday party.
"When his birthday came up, he literally invited my whole production crew for my show thinking that we hang out all the time, but I did not show up," a calm Joyce spoke.
This broke his heart, but he did not give up. He took to social media to declare his love and this time he was successful because Joyce responded.
"Then my first song called conquerer came out and he started tweeting me publically, "my celebrity crash is Joyce Omondi, then after that, I just responded, then I invited him to my birthday party, he came and that was the time we actually met.
The two then regularly met afterwards, and as Joyce outlined, the rest is history.
