Moha Jicho Pevu Fights Raila Over 'Billionaire' Project [VIDEO]

Nyali MP, Mohammed Ali, is the latest addition in the list of lawmakers who are opposed to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's project, the Building Bridges Initiative.

Speaking in Nyali Constituency on Saturday, the former investigative journalist cast doubts on the project revealing that it was only meant to benefit a few individuals.

Following his revelation, he renamed the initiative as 'Building Billionaires Initiative' to show how selfish the project would turn out.

"You should be very careful women because they are now talking about a referendum. I will tell you the truth, the referendum and what you are calling the BBI, the Building Bridges Initiative, is called, in other words, the 'Building Billionaires Initiative' ," cautioned Mohammed.

He further warned the residents that the biggest problem in Kenya is not how the constitution is set up arguing that it has only been in existence for less than 10 years.

He explained that poor leadership is what the country should be focused on.

The BBI debate has driven a sharp rift between leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto and those backing Raila.

A majority of those allied to Ruto argue that the entire outfit was purely aimed at creating a position of power for the ODM Party leader.

The DP, however, recently urged all parties involved in the debate to be careful so that it does not divide Kenyans.

“We do not want a lose-lose arrangement. We want a win-win where every Kenyan becomes a winner. I want to encourage Kenyans to focus on ensuring that whatever the debate. It is a debate about issues, and everybody must be listened to, so that we can enrich the outcome of any conversation that we have in the country,” urged Ruto.

The BBI team, which has traversed the country collecting public views on challenges derailing the country, is expected to present its report to President Uhuru Kenyatta this September.
