Ruto's Close Aide Dies

Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday, September 28, mourned one of his close staff members, Anthony Kariuki.

It is alleged that the late Kariuki, one of the DP's social media manager, was hit by a motorist in Eastlands.

Taking to his social media pages, Ruto tributed Anthony as a sharp, dependable, industrious, committed and creative person, who also had a positive attitude.

"My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family, colleagues and friends of my staff member Anthony Kariuki.

"I take comfort in knowing that Kariuki is now resting in the arms of our Lord. Rest In Peace," the DP wrote on Twitter.

The Deputy President also stated that he would miss his hunger and stamina for knowledge, punctuality, team spirit and orientation to detail.

On Wednesday, September 25, the Deputy President also took to Twitter to mourn another friend.

The DP praised Mzee Daniel Ole Muyaa as a fierce champion of the rights of minority groups.

"Mzee Ole Muyaa made invaluable contributions to their advancement, especially in education and representation. He advocated peace, cohesion and harmonious relationships among communities. Rest In Peace.

"Condolences to the family, friends and the Maa community for the loss of Mzee Daniel Ole Muyaa, a respected and influential community leader," he stated.

President Uhuru Kenyatta also sent a message of condolence and comfort to the family, relatives and friends of Mzee Daniel  Kasirimo Ole Muyaa who died today at his home after a long illness.
