Kenyan Businesswoman Found Dead in US

A Kenyan woman was found murdered in her home by authorities who responded to a distress call barely hours to Christmas festivities.

According to reports reaching our news desk on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, Janet Oyuga was pronounced dead at the scene by Seattle police, while her sister, identified as Angela, was unconscious after being shot at the back by the assailant.

A statement released to the media informed that the two victims were attacked at their house, which they had recently bought on auction.

They had continued hosting the previous homeowner (the suspect), who had nowhere to move to, out of respect for her old age.

“The assailant murdered Janet at her home and hid in wait for the sister, Angela, to get home from her late shift,” the statement claimed.

“Angela, unaware of what had transpired, was shot on the back as she was walking up the stairs. Janet was pronounced dead by law enforcement at the scene. Fortunately, we did not lose Angela and she is recuperating at Harborview Hospital in Seattle,” the communication added.

The family is humbly requesting for prayers and financial contribution to send Janet’s body back to her family in Kenya and meet other funeral costs.

Authorities informed that with the nature of Angela's injuries, it would be necessary to get a relative to take care of her, as she may not be able to work for a while.

“This is a very complex case and needs legal counsel to ensure justice for our sisters in this heinous crime,” the statement concluded.
