She Was Bribed and Coached to Speak About The Assault -Moses Kuria

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Saturday evening, January 11, spoke out after he was released from Kilimani Police station.

Speaking to the press, Kuria, who was facing an assault charge, alleged that the incident took place a month ago, stating that there was no physical altercation.

"We just had a quarrel with the woman (Activist Jane Wanja) but there was no physical altercation," Kuria stated.

He added that Kiambu activist Jane Wanja was bribed and coached so as to speak about the assault.

"They want to defame me and because I am not a thief, they seized this opportunity," Kuria continued.

Kuria went ahead and thanked Kenyans who demonstrated in various parts of the Country in support of his release.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke earlier, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichunghwa stated that his Gatundu counterpart had gone on a hunger strike while behind bars and was apprehensive about his security.

"They wanted to move him at night, where to, we do not know so we have people who are spending the night there.

"He does not trust food that they are giving him as they could poison him, hence, he is on hunger strike until they release him or take him to court," he told our news desk.
