Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has called out his Nyali counterpart Mohamed Ali - popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu - claiming that he was trying to use forged signatures to move his motion to impeach Transport CS James Macharia.

Speaking to the media in a video that surfaced on Sunday, June 14, the vocal legislator vowed to kill the motion even before it could be debated in Parliament.

"CS Macharia has been accountable for every single shilling that has passed through his docket. I want to urge my good friend Mohamed Ali to stop the petty politics.

"You know me very well, even politically. I checked some of the signatures on the document and some even had images of cows and you want to pass them as valid. We are well aware that the signatures are fake and we will not debate the motion in Parliament because it has not met the threshold," he asserted.

Murang'a Woman Rep Sabina Wanjiru Chege, who was also present during the press briefing, urge the Nyali MP to 'go slow', stating that CS Macharia's successful track record was evident.

"Let us shelve these petty politics. Everyone in Kenya has seen the development record of CS Macharia, from Lamu to Murang'a.

"I also urge anyone in Parliament who may have signed the petition to have him impeached to kindly withdraw," she pleaded.

The group of Mt Kenya leaders sung from the same script in the presence of the embattled Transport CS, who had visited his home town of Murang'a to check on the various road development projects.

"We are not defending him because he is a CS from Mt Kenya, we are defending him because he is doing the job that we expect him to be doing," Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu.

On June 12, the Nyali MP drafted a motion to impeach CS Macharia, citing several reasons that warranted the removal of the CS from office.

“He failed to deliver on key infrastructure, housing, urban development and public works such as bridges, highways, seaports and airports despite the projects being heavily touted as vital to the development of the country,” the motion reads in part

On his part, CS Macharia maintained that he was focused on delivering on the promises made by President Uhuru Kenyatta and told off the Nyali legislator.

"I want to tell Mohamed Ali that he cannot intimidate me, I am part of President Uhuru's brigade and with him as the commander, I cannot be cowed by the likes of you," he remarked.
