Claims against the management of the popular Churchill Show on June 1, 2020, took a new turn after two comedians attacked each other in a series of posts on social media
Sleepy David slammed his colleague Zeddy for claiming that the show’s Creative Director Victor Ber was frustrating comedians and pushing them to suicide.
Sleep stated that the female comedian’s rant was unwarranted and that Ber was instrumental in the success of many performers.
He dared any of the performers to support Zeddy’s claims if they were true.
“I will not let you guys throw this man under the bus. Tell me I am being a sycophant and all but it does not matter, the truth counts.
“I dare all these successful comedians from Churchill Show to Say Ber didn't have a hand in the success they enjoy,” he wrote.
Zeddy clashed with David claiming that he only returned to Churchill Show after failing to succeed on his own.
She also dragged Teacher Wanjiku who happens to be Ber’s wife, into the brawl stating that the creative director favoured her alongside Sleepy.
“You are only at Churchill Show because your show with Teacher Wanjiku at Citizen TV never worked, it never succeeded. I am sure you would not have come back. Ber helped you return so you can make a name for yourself and exit again. I hope Churchill opens his eyes.
“Ber never wanted any female comedians to succeed so that his wife could shine. That is the reason we have few female comedians. When Wanjiku put up her Comedy Queens show at KICC, the girls were threatened to perform,” she responded.
David defended Teacher Wanjiku stating that “I have so much admiration for Teacher Wanjiku. She has a great dream to pave way for more ladies in the industry.”
“How many shows have you done on Churchill’s platform? How many shows has Teacher Wanjiku done? Who decides who shines? God? or Ber? Flaqo, Desagu, Njugush are successful comedians from just social media,” he wrote.
