Kiss FM presenter Felix Odiwuor known to many as Jalang'o broke the news during a morning show on the station.

He stated that the renowned presenter wanted to make the turn into Brookside drive when a public service vehicle rammed his car.

"There were many people at the scene but I managed to take Ghost to the hospital where he has been admitted and that is why I was late to work," Jalang'o stated.

Road accidents have been on the rise in the last couple of weeks with Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai indicating that some drivers were flaunting basic safety requirements.

"The National Police Service will undertake nationwide enforcement operations to address factors such as speeding, lane indiscipline, assessment of general compliance with public service vehicle (PSV) licensing requirement, a crackdown on unroadworthy vehicles among other traffic offences," he wrote in a statement.

He stated that the measures would enhance efforts towards road safety in order to prevent the unnecessary loss of lives.

According to a report released by NTSA, 2,689 persons had lost their lives between January 1 and September 30, 2020, compared to the same period last year where 2,655 lives were lost which translates to an increase of 1.3%.
