Kenyan global comic star Elsa Majimbo has a new notch on her star-studded belt, having launched her very own show.

Dubbed 'Bedtime With Elsa', the show premiered on Sunday evening October 18, via her Instagram TV channel.

She flexed her new found international appeal by having Grammy nominated British superstar Jorja Smith as her first guest.

"I'm so excited to share my first interview series called Bedtime with Elsa!" she tweeted following the premiere.

The two went on to have a candid 15 minute conversation in which they tackled various issues such as cyber-bullying and gems from their personal journeys.

"I get bullied literally every single second of every day by so many people for so many things. For being a woman, for being black, for being from Kenya. People just attack me for no apparent reason,

"Its horrible but then again, I'm just 19 so anyone who goes online to attack a 19 year old girl has to be very idle," Elsa remarked, before letting out the chuckle that has endeared her to the entire world.

At the end of the show, the Kenyan comic went on to reveal that Bedtime With Elsa would take up a series form with new celebrity guests on each episode per week.

In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, the Fenty brand ambassador gave an in depth peek into her life.

“Oh my god, they treat me the same,” she beams over Zoom. “I expect some kind of status in this house now, but they expect me to cook and clean. I still wash dishes,” She responded when asked if her family now treated her like royalty, before revealing that her 16-year-old brother doesn’t find her funny.

Elsa was recently nominated for an E! People’s Choice Award in the African Social Star category.

Her big plan includes acting, a podcast, a book and stand-up shows. The rollout of her interview series was step one.

She is currently studying journalism at Nairobi’s Strathmore University.
