Reports from his relatives, Wilson Maike and Nuru Namsonge, indicate that his wife succumbed to Tuberculosis(TB) complications last week.

Tauni’s body was moved to the Webuye County Hospital morgue where it will lay as burial preparations are done.

Janet's burial, however, continued albeit in deep sorrow after the unfortunate situation.

Family members said that Tauni did not have any history of heart problems.

The cause of his death at the time of publication had not yet been established.

The rise in cases of people collapsing and dying on the spot across the country is worrying, amid fears, it could be as a result of rising cases of Covid-19.

In July 2020, three people reportedly collapsed and died in Makueni, Nairobi and Mombasa counties.

In the first case which occurred at Kitivo village in Makueni, an elderly man died shortly after complaining of headache and breathing difficulties in what health officials said was the result of Covid-19.

The two others also complained of chest pains before they collapsed and died.
