KEBS in Mass Recruitment For Diploma & Degree Holders, How to Apply

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has announced a mass recruitment drive targeting diploma and degree holders as well as artisans.

An advertisement dated Thursday, August 26, indicated that the bureau was looking to hire 101 individuals to occupy various posts. 

They include an inspection manager and a principal office administrator at the managerial level. Civil engineers, electrical engineers, pharmacists and mechanical engineers are expected to fill the degree holder category.

Other positions where a bachelor's degree is required include physicists, economists, food scientists, microbiologists, agriculturists, textile engineers and office administrators.

In the diploma category, vacancies available include those of electrical engineers, food scientists, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, microbiologists, textile engineers, analytical chemists, print production, registered nurse and customer care occupant.

Artisans in the electrical and civil engineering fields are also highly sought by the bureau.

"The mandate of KEBS is to provide Standardisation, Metrology and Conformity Assessment services through Promotion of standardization in commerce and industry,  Provision of testing and calibration facilities, Control of the use of standardization marks, Undertaking educational work in standardization, Facilitation of the implementation and practical application of standards, and Maintenance and dissemination of the International System of Units (SI) of measurements," reads a statement accompanying the notice.

How to Apply

Applicants are expected to present a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates and the certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

Others include tax compliance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission clearance (EACC), Credit Reference Bureau clearance (CRB) and the clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).

Interested individuals must visit the KEBS website at Kebs.org and continue to the careers section.

The advertised position will be displayed there complete with a clickable link towards the application procedure alongside each listing.

All uploaded documents must be in pdf format and upon completion of the application process, the system will generate an immediate auto-reply on the form indicating the successful submission.

A similar message will be sent to the applicant's email showing the application ID.
