Deputy President William Ruto has accused his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, of ungratefulness by repaying kindness with what the DP described as untold personal persecution of the people who had stood with the head of state over the years.

Speaking during a rally at the Thika Stadium on Sunday, March 13, Ruto had an outpour of emotions but stated that he had forgiven his boss for all the predicaments he claimed the Head of State put him through.

The DP recounted how their once admirable 'bromance' turned into a fierce rivalry noting that despite supporting Uhuru when he needed him the most, the president abandoned him for former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.

"I have walked with you when you needed someone to stand by you. We walked around this county looking for votes and made government in 2013 and 2017, and now you have gone elsewhere to look for a successor in the name of Kitendawili," the DP stated.

Ruto hit out the Jubilee Party leader for what he termed a targeted witch hunt of those who were opposed to his pact with Odinga that, according to him caused the split in the ruling party.

"For four and a half years, you have mistreated us and frustrated us. You have kicked us out of our committees in Parliament, split our beloved Jubilee party, called us tanga tanga, and branded us as thieves.

"The men of the cloth who prayed with you when you were facing charges at the Hague are the people you now openly insult. We have seen all you have done, but we have forgiven you. We will leave you to God," the DP noted.

Notably, the DP reiterated that Uhuru's partnership with Raila was detrimental to the common Kenyan claiming that government agencies were being used to derail Kenyans who were trying to make a living.

His comments were reiterated by Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua who stated that certain state agencies were being used to fight the President's political and family battles.

The vocal MP noted that if Ruto assumed the presidency, all the corrupted agencies will be subjected to commissions of inquiry.

"It is at the office in Gigiri that the meetings are held to intimidate on leaders who support DP Ruto. When we are elected on August 9, we want a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to probe how these state agencies were converted to intimidation tools by the state," Gachagua revealed.
