A recent poll now shows that Raila Odinga is still the most popular presidential candidate at 42 per cent.
The Infotrak opinion poll released on Wednesday, June 8, showed that Deputy president William Ruto's popularity stood at 38 per cent.
Infotrak Chief Executive Officer, Angela Ambitho, while releasing the poll, noted that Raila's popularity had stagnated while that of Ruto had dipped compared to a poll conducted early May.

The poll also indicated that Raila led in most counties including all counties from Nyanza, Western, North Eastern, and Nairobi.
Ruto's popularity dropped from 42 per cent from the last poll conducted in early May. Ambitho stated that the drop is partly attributed to the selection of running mates by the two presidential candidates.
Against a predicted voter turn out of 95 per cent, the pollster predicted that the Azimo flagbearer would garner 9.3 million votes in the August 9 election.
The former Prime Minister would secure more than 25 per cent votes from 37 counties, surpassing the required threshold for a presidential candidate to be declared the winner.
On the other hand, DP Ruto would garner 8.4 million of the total votes cast. However, he would be voted by more that 25 per cent of the electorate in 38 counties.
Infotrak added that there were 11 undecided counties which were considered to have swing votes. They include Tana River, Kwale, Lamu, Turkana, Narok, Kajiado, Narok, West Pokot, Samburu , Nakuru, Trans Nzoia and Bungoma.
The Infotrak CEO noted that the women's vote remain unchanged following Raila's selection of Martha Karua as his running mate, with both Raila and Ruto having 37 per cent of the women vote.
Findings of the poll disclosed that 20 per cent of the registered women voters were undecided and that the activities of Raila and Ruto in the coming days will determine how they vote.
Among the key issues of concern that Kenyans needed addressed include the high cost of living, infrastructure, unemployment, access to clean water, and access to quality health services.
