Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, was irked by a scuffle between Nairobi senatorial candidate, Edwin Sifuna and blogger Robert Alai who is eyeing the Kileleshwa ward seat.

The two reportedly differed over a chance to address a rally at Kawangware, Nairobi on Saturday, July 16.

Their brawl prompted Raila to intervene and order the two from disrupting his event.

Raila could be heard shouting at the duo after he lost his temper and was also perplexed by the magnitude of the brawl.

“Alai, Alai. What is happening!,” Raila Odinga exclaimed after his attention was drawn to the two Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) politicians.

The rally resumed minutes later after calm was restored. Raila urged the residents to vote for Azimio as it was capable of reviving the economy.

He also rallied women to support his running mate, Martha Karua, and other ODM candidates.

"Don't vote for me and leave me isolated in Parliament. I do not want to be a captive president. My opponents will intimidate me with impeachment every day. I want you to give me MPs and MCAs," he stated.

The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) warned of the rising number of violent cases in political rallies ahead of the forthcoming elections campaigns.

Kenya Kwanza Coalition running mate Rigathi Gachagua was on Thursday, July 14,  forced to cut short a rally in Meru County after two rival groups clashed.

Security officers evacuated Rigathi to safety as the two groups traded stones in the rally.

In yet another incident, Deputy President William Ruto was also captured lecturing a man for heckling him at a rally in Vihiga.
