Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja has set up a state-of-the-art celebration centre at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in anticipation of his presidential election victory.
In footage seen by Kenyans.co.ke, invited guests will be treated to a red carpet affair from the parking lot to the entrance and into the hall. Along the alley are the Kenyan flag and roll-up banners with the pictures of Raila Odinga and Martha Karua.
The hall is subdivided into four areas including a sitting lounge, VIP section, and an entertainment and catering section.
In the lounge are high-end leather seats arranged in pools to accommodate between seven and 10 individuals. In the middle of each pool are iconic marble and glass tables.
Raila's invitees, who include newly elected parliamentarians, will follow any live proceedings from four large television screens which have since been mounted. A live band has also been contracted to play music during the event.
At one corner of the room is a desk which will be serving a plethora of drinks to the liking of the guests. On the opposite side of the room, a catering area has been set up.
All guests will have at their disposal stewards and stewardesses who will be at their service during the entire event.
Azimio also has a separate VIP section where Raila will meet top-ranking officials of the coalition party and members of his political inner circle. The event will be broadcast live.
In addition, Raila's team has booked a separate hall where he is expected to address them and the nation in the event the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chair, Wafula Chebukati, announces him as president-elect.
Meanwhile, his campaign team has set up a parallel vote tallying centre where an independent vote count has been happening.
IEBC has made available to the public the soft copy of the results from the 46,229 polling stations across the country.
While the Commission noted that the move was in a bid to ensure transparency in polls, it maintained that the mandate of announcing the result of the presidential election lies with it.
