Seats Won By Jubilee Party Candidates

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Returning Officers began announcing the results of the Parliamentary elections across the country.

Political parties fielded candidates in various constituencies, in a bid to clinch the majority seats in the National Assembly. Among them was the outgoing ruling party Jubilee.

However, several candidates vying on President Uhuru Kenyatta's party have registered victory. Kenyans.co.ke compiled a list of lawmakers who have been declared winners on a Jubilee ticket.

Ruweida Mohamed Obo was announced the MP-elect of Lamu East constituency. Ruweida, garnered 5,498 votes against incumbent Sharif Athman Ali's 4,633 votes.

Ruweida, who made history by becoming the first-ever woman to be elected in the area, handed Uhuru victory against his Deputy William Ruto who was represented in the contest by Athman.

Sirisia lawmaker John Waluke defended his seat on a Jubilee ticket. Waluke mustered 16,461 votes and was followed by Ford Kenya candidate Nasiuma Wafula who managed 8,811 votes.

Agnes Pareiyo clinched the Narok North parliamentary seat on the ruling party ticket. Pareiyo beat ODM's Allan Meingati.

Stephen Mogaka of Jubilee will represent West Mugirango in the next parliament after being declared the winner.

Nakuru West lawmaker Samuel Arama successfully defended his seat on the same party after mustering 34,936 votes against UDA’s Kamau Githengi who got 29,343 votes.

In Kitui South Jubilee's Nyamai Racheal Kaki bagged 24,989 votes, to beat ODM's Onesmus Mumo who came in second with 11,916 votes.

Steve Mogaka secured the West Mugirango parliamentary seat in Kisii county. Mogaka won the contest by 253 votes -  16,877 votes against ODMs Moturi Rodgers 16,524. 

Other candidates include Mohamed Abdikheir (Lafey).
