In a public notice, the authority stated that the portal will not be in service from Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 8pm to Sunday, October 26, 2025, at 12am.

According to the authority, all iTax users will be unable to access the system for four hours during the maintenance.

"Please be advised that there will be a scheduled maintenance of iTax from Saturday, 25th October 2025, 8pm to Sunday, 26th October 2025, 12 am. We regret any inconvenience caused," it added.

The iTax is a digital system that has been developed by KRA to improve efficiency.

The portal allows a taxpayer to update their tax registration details, file tax returns, register all tax payments, and make status enquiries with real-time monitoring of their ledger account.

The announcement comes two weeks after the authority announced an eight-hour disruption of the Integrated Customs Management Systems (iCMS)  to pave the way for upgrades.

The iCMS automates, integrates, and harmonises the authority's customs processes into a single system that is accessible to importers and exporters.

The system enables trade efficiency by increasing speed in the cargo clearance process, and also reducing the complexities associated with several systems of automation of manual processes.

In a public notice dated Saturday, October 11, the authority said that the disruption would take place between 6am and 2pm, on Sunday, October 12.

"Please be advised that there will be a scheduled maintenance of iCMS from Sunday, October 12, 2025, 6am to Sunday, October 12, 2025, 2pm. We regret any inconvenience caused," the notice read.
