Chaos As MP and Keroche Executive Clash In Attempted Raid

Drama was witnessed at Kerocho Breweries in Naivasha yesterday as rowdy youth attempted to raid the industry, in an attempt to destroy the company's products.

Operations at the company were halted for hours as anti riot police kept the youth at bay, KTN reports.

The youth had been led there by local MP John Kihagi.

According to The Nation, a heated exchange of words between the company's Chief Executive Tabitha Karanja and the MP lasted for hours as the legislator demanded an analysis of some of the firm’s products.

An angry Karanja accused the legislator of politicizing the fight against illicit brew.

In a report by The Star, the MP and other officials accompanying him insisted they had all the documents and licenses from the government required to conduct the inspection.

Karanja however maintained they had met all the required demands and that the alcohol produced at the company was KEBS certified.

She later spoke to NTV, accusing the MP of trying to sabotage the company.
