Dr. Oroko Obegi is the current National Chairman at Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists' Union (KMPDU).
His exceptional leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic saw more than 3,000 healthcare workers handed personal protective equipment (PPEs) courtesy of the M-Pesa Foundation.
The foundation worked with local manufacturers to procure the PPEs and distribute them at an estimated cost of Ksh20 million.
The medical practitioner has been using his platform to champion for the rights of health workers in Kenya.
