Pauline Ongaji

Pauline Ongaji is a multimedia journalist working with the Nation Media Group (NMG). 

Throughout her career, she has covered topics ranging from health, environment, climate, gender, and agriculture. 

Ongaji is also renowned for being a bilingual journalist proficient and articulate in both English and Swahili languages.

In 2023, the journalist won the prestigious Global Energy Prize for the short story “The Kenyan Women Making Their Mark in Renewable Energy."

She managed to pip 262 journalists across the globe who submitted their work for consideration. 

Ongaji holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Public Relations from Moi University and a Master of Climate Change Adaptation from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
