
Sylvia Kasanga is a nominated Senator and chair of the Senate Ad hoc Committee on Covid-19.
She is a practicing architect and is also qualified as an arbitrator with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK & Kenya.
She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Architecture from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from United States International University – Africa (USIU-A).
In June, Kasanga was elected as the Vice-Chair of the Departmental Committee on Public Works, Roads and Transport.
She is also a member of the Departmental Committee on Lands and Natural Resources and the Power and Privileges Committee.
Kasanga has been at the forefront of promoting mental health and has been working with different stakeholders to push for a comprehensive policy on mental health.
