Eng. Victor Kyalo is a Communications engineer with a wide experience in systems design, integration and project management. He has been involved in the information systems networking/telecommunications for the last 25 years both in deployment of solutions and in training at the University level.

Eng. Kyalo was the CEO of ICT Authority in Kenya. Prior to this he was the Deputy CEO/Programmes Manager at the Kenya ICT Board with a focus on the implementation of core communication infrastructure and e-services in different sectors of the economy.  Among the notable projects he been involved in include; leadership of the Kenya TCIP world Bank funded project;  the Project Manager/Engineer for the East African Marine System (TEAMS), rollout and operationalization of the National Optical Fibre Backbone Initiative (NOFBI) as well as a Neutral National Data Center initiative (NNDC).

A founding member of a number of institutions/pioneering initiatives in the communications sector such as; Kenya Education Network (http://www.kenet.or.ke) and served as the Executive Director/CEO from 2001 to July 2007.  A Founding Board member/Ag. CEO of the UbuntuNet Alliance (http://www.ubuntunet.net). Was also a founding member of the Kenya Network Information Center-KENIC  (Kenya’s country code Top Level Domain name .ke administrator) and the served as the Chair of the Board of Directors for two terms.  Eng. Kyalo has participated as a consultant in various projects in the telecommunications and education sectors.

Current focus is on the deployment of communication technologies and services targeted at providing effective services delivery mechanisms in diverse areas including processes in learning and teaching.  The interests cover work in the selection, measurements, and management of technology solutions, aiming at enabling an enterprise to optimize the return on its investment in IT, Communication Systems, and Management Services through a partnership of systems and business/user groups

Eng. Kyalo holds an Msc. Electronics (Eindhoven University), BSc. Electrical Engineering 1st Class (University of Nairobi), Currently pursuing Msc. Economics (University of Nairobi).

He is a Registered Engineer (Kenya), a Member of IEEE and a member of PMI.
