A woman sought help after her husband vanished, leaving her with Ksh3 million and dead conjoined twins at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

The mother, Mary Moraa, revealed that the twins passed away on December 23, 2022, but was unable to bury them due to the huge hospital bill.

She further alleged that she was all alone and had no one to turn to after her husband ran away.

“My husband used to visit us at the hospital but has since vanished and switched off all his phones.

“I am left all alone since my own family has also gone silent and has been unsupportive,” she lamented.

Moraa appealed to the public to help raise the hefty bill to accord her children a decent send-off.

The twins were born on November 21 at Lenmek Hospital in Kisii County.

According to doctors, the twins were conjoined chest down to their abdomen and would have required surgery while young.

“We cannot separate the babies at the moment because one baby has a bigger heart than the other.”

“One with a small heart is entirely dependent on her twin sister for all her heart functions,” the doctors stated.

The twins were transferred to KNH for specialized treatment, with doctors optimistic that surgery would have been successful.

Sadly, the twin with a healthy heart developed Pneumonia which led to difficulties in breathing.
