TotalEnergies has launched the Startupper of the Year Challenge which targets young entrepreneurs.

In a statement, the company noted that the challenge would recognise young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 years who either have a business idea or have been running a business for under three years.

100 entrepreneurs from across the continent will be recognised and rewarded under three categories namely innov’Up winner for the best entrepreneur, cycle’Up winner for the best project relating to the circular economy and power’Up winner for the best project relating to sustainable, affordable energy.

"The winner in the three categories will each become a “Startupper of the Year by TotalEnergies” and will benefit from a monetary award of Kshs1,650,000, personalized support and a communication campaign to enhance their project’s visibility. Winners will also have the opportunity to promote their project during a celebratory event, the details of which will be released at a later date," read the statement in part.
