M-PESA Offers Ksh34.8 Million to Sponsor Vipingo’s Women's Golf Tournament

Safaricom’s Money transfer service M-PESA on February 8, offered Ksh 34.8 million to sponsor the second edition of the Vipingo Magical Kenya Women’s Tournament.

The tournament is set to begin from the 10th to the 13th of February at the Vipingo Ridge, Baobab Course in Kilifi County which is  the only (UK) PGA-accredited golf course in Africa.

“We are honoured to be part of the Ladies European Tour, which makes a return for the second time in Kenya and East Africa region, and the first event of the 2022 season. The Ladies European Tour provides Kenyan lady golfers with an opportunity to learn and grow in the sport and we look forward to seeing the players in action”, said Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom.

The golf tournament which is part of the Ladies European Tour, founded in 1978 offers amateur golf players the opportunity to play with pro-golfers
