On Friday, the Safaricom Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O), Peter Ndegwa assumed his role as the Chancellor of Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST).

Ndegwa who took up the mantle is expected to hold the position for five years after his appointment by President Ruto in November 2023.

In a statement celebrating his role, the C.E.O noted,  “It’s truly a privilege to take on this role, and I am humbled by the responsibility entrusted to me by the university.

“As I embark on this new journey, I am filled with a sense of purpose and dedication to advancing the mission of Meru University of Science and Technology.
