One person has been confirmed dead and scores others injured after ODM Party supporters allied to Funyula MP Paul Otuoma and Busia Governor Sospeter Ojamoong clashed in Funyula.
Violence broke out on Friday evening after supporters of the governor invaded a meeting that had been called by Mr Otuoma.
The violence comes just a day before the two leaders face it out on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party nominations set for Saturday.
Dr Otuoma and Mr Ojamoong are battling for Busia Governorship on an ODM ticket.
