The Jubilee Party has officially endorsed Hon. Bina Mohamed Tubi as its candidate for the upcoming Isiolo South Constituency by-election scheduled for February 26, 2026.
In a statement released on Thursday, January 15, 2026, the party, through its Secretary-General, Jeremiah Ngayu Kioni, confirmed that it had issued Hon. Tubi with a nomination certificate, clearing her to fly the Jubilee flag in the upcoming by-elections.
Describing Hon. Bina Tubi as a candidate who carries a proud political legacy rooted in service and loyalty to the party, courtesy of his father, SG Kioni presented her with a nomination certificate signed by the party leadership before Jubilee supporters in attendance.
Her late father, Tubi Bidu Mohamed, a former Member of Parliament for Isiolo South, was remembered as a devoted first-term Jubilee member who served both the party and constituents with commitment, dignity, and clarity of purpose.
In addition, the late MP Tubi also sat in the Departmental Committee on Environment and Public Petitions Committee before his untimely passing following a short illness.
The party said it continues to honour his contribution and expressed gratitude to the people of Isiolo South for the long-standing partnership they have shared over the years.
“Our relationship with Isiolo South is rooted in mutual respect, development-focused leadership, and inclusive politics,” the statement read in part.
The party reiterated its commitment to protecting that legacy while offering renewed leadership that responds to current and future aspirations and challenges facing residents of the constituency.
As the February 26, 2026, by-election draws closer, the party expressed confidence that voters would once again rally behind leadership founded on unity, integrity, and principle.
Hon Bina Mohamed Tubi’s Jubilee Party nomination comes after the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party endorsed her brother, Tubi Mohamed Tubi, as its flagbearer after clearance in December of 2025, setting up a rare sibling rivalry.
Recently, political parties have been endorsing the children or relatives of deceased legislators as ready-made replacements to ensure political dominance in by-elections, as seen in Kasipul, Banisa, and now Isiolo South constituencies.
The Isiolo South by-election is expected to attract significant political interest as parties position themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.
