Former TV47 journalist Willis Raburu has revealed his next step for the Wabebe Experience Show, months after exiting his former media station.
In a statement dated Thursday, Raburu revealed that the show would be making a return this month.
Unlike the previous show, he noted that the show would be based in the digital space which is mostly used by Kenyans owing to the advancement of technology.
He explained that the move had also been informed by his experience in the traditional media platforms such as TV.
Raburu also explained that the digital space also gave creatives more independence and space to collaborate with each other.
"The media landscape has evolved, and so have we. Throughout our journey, legacy media has played a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing me. I am profoundly grateful for the growth and opportunities it has afforded me. The experiences and exposure provided by traditional media have been invaluable, laying a strong foundation for what I have become today.
"However, the time has come for change. The digital revolution calls for a new approach, one that champions independence and collaboration. The Wabebe Experience is stepping into this new era with a vision to build something greater, not just for ourselves, but alongside our community of creators and supporters," he stated.
While he did not detail the exact date when the show would be aired, he noted that an announcement would be made in the coming days.
"There is much more to come, and we are thrilled to share this journey with you. Together, we will redefine what it means to be a creator in the digital age, fostering a community that values authenticity and embraces the power of independent growth," read the statement in part.
Raburu exited TV47 in April this year after announcing a seasonal break of his show at the stations.
The Wabebe Experience show was hosted on Fridays after the prime time news and was a replica of the 10 over 10 show that he hosted on Citizen TV.
Weeks after Raburu's departure at TV47, the station announced that Betty Kyallo would be taking over the Friday prime time slot with her This Friday With Betty show.
