Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has denied being arrested in Dubai while carrying 210 million dollars.
Speaking during an interview on Obinna Show, the CS stated that he was in Kenya when the claims of his arrest emerged.
He added that it would be impossible for one to carry such a huge amount of money in the bag, adding that one would probably need a pickup to carry such an amount of money.
The CS added that he had become a target of fake news in recent days adding that no one could come forth to table facts on the alleged arrest.
"Not a single person has accused me of corruption. That should be around three or four pickups of dollars. If you carry that money, you will need maybe half of the plane. When they said that I was arrested I was in Nairobi. Let us be serious.
"These are being propagated on social media by people who do not have faces. I am used to fake news," he added
On the other hand, the CS detailed the highest amounts of money he has ever carried in cash. In Kenya, he noted that he had carried around Ksh1 million to Ksh2 million at one given time.
While abroad, he revealed that he had at one time carried 10,000 dollars, explaining why that was necessary.
"One day while I was in the Senate we went on a trip, we reached there and our cards refused. We booked a hotel and the card refused to work. We were in trouble.
"We could not call back because it was past banking hours in Kenya. For some reason, the card of one of our colleagues went through. We had to squatter in his room," he detailed.
Meanwhile, he expressed concern over the level of fake news that was being spread about him. In particular, he wondered how the news would ultimately affect his children when they began to use phones.
During the interview, the CS also detailed that he had taken legal action against Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei who alleged that he had earned Ksh15 billion as kickbacks for contracts.
