Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has since retreated and reserved his stance on revamping the country's economy even as the country is experiencing hard economic times.

In recent days, pre and post-elections, the Prime CS has been advocating for policies that would enable the economy to thrive.

Mudavadi now says revamping the country's economy is difficult, he argued that a lengthy time is needed to stabilise the economy.

"Resuscitating an economy is not a joke, it is not instant coffee, it takes time, and sometimes it can take a very very long time."

Rallying Kenyans to ponder over and reflect on some of the activities that ensued including setting a blaze of key government infrastructure such as the National Assembly, Senate and the Judiciary, the Prime CS insisted that the government will induce urgent measures to avert chances of recording a low Gross Domestic Product (GDP)

"The country must not go down because of our mistakes because there will be another generation to take over. Imagine what it will take to reconstruct Gaza today," he said.

While presiding over the launching of the Technical and Vocational Educational Training (TVET) strategic plan in Nairobi on Thursday, he called on the youths to reconsider calling off the ongoing anti-government protests claiming that they are gradually sinking the country's economy.

He slammed various education stakeholders accusing them of impoverishing the youth to stage more protests.

"Even if we are expressing ourselves why are we impoverishing the young men and women?" he questioned.

"How would you sleep if you knew you had destroyed a Kenyan's life-savings, I would have nightmares if I knew I had destroyed my neighbor's business enterprise."

Mudavadi said a coherent economic policy will attract investment thus creating a thriving economy.

This comes a day after President William Ruto, through a gazette notice, appointed Prime Cabinet Secretaries Musalia Mudavadi to act as Cabinet Secretary in all ministries after he dismissed all his cabinet secretaries save for the docket headed by Mudavadi.
