A politician is being treated as a person of interest in a case where a woman was stabbed at a short-stay apartment in Kilimani last week.
As detailed by the victim, who reported the matter to the Killimani Police Station, she had been invited by the politician to an entertainment joint near Kilimani.
The politician reported to be a member of the 13th Parliament, was also in the company of two other women.
After a night of merry, the four agreed to spend the night at a short-stay rental apartment in the area.
However, an altercation ensued between the two other women and the victim. According to the victim, she was stabbed three times including her lower abdomen.
While the cause of the conflict is yet to be established, the victim noted that she recorded the incident while screaming for help.
Luckily, the security guards at that apartment heard her screams and came to her rescue before the police were involved.
"They were picking forks, and knives from the kitchen and attacking me as I tried to defend myself, one of them took a knife and stabbed me on this side.
"I was screaming, banging the door, I was screaming, and the guards came to the house. The guard then called the police. While at the station, I could not take my statement, I was unconscious," she narrated during an interview with Citizen TV.
Kilimani Police Commander Kobia Bariu confirmed the incident adding that investigations had already commenced.
It was reported that the politician had already recorded his statement with the police with one of the women arrested for the stabbing incident.
"The stab wound was so deep and it was at the lower left abdomen. Investigations are on and we will get a true picture of what happened," the officer stated.
