Billionaire Resort, a classy high-end facility in Kenya, won a prestigious award at the World Travel Awards 2024.

The resort, which is situated in Malindi town, scooped an award as Africa’s Leading Boutique Resort in the resort category beating other high-end resorts across the continent.

Billionaire Resort & Retreat is a favorite of the have-yachts not only in Africa but also around the world with international guests trooping to vacation at the resort.

Owned by former Formula One star Flavio Briatoire, the resort prides itself as one of the most exotic spots on the Kenyan coast featuring high-end global cuisines.

According to the company’s mission on its website, Billionaires Resort is hell-bent on providing high performance to its clientele. “The cutting-edge design of the Resort focuses on a mission of high quality and high performance and it reflects the synthesis of tradition and innovation using local materials,” read a statement on the resort's website in part.

Visitors can relax by enjoying breathtaking views of the beach. Similarly, revelers can chill in the restaurant, swimming pool, spa, or the Kalifa boat.

Interestingly, the resort’s beach has a number of private gazebos neatly organized facing the ocean. Visitors get to be served by a personal butler.

Opposite the resort is the Lion in the Sun Resort, also owned by Briatoire. A night in the villas goes for about €300 (approximately Ksh42,135) depending on the season.

In the same awards, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) bagged an accolade as Africa's Leading Airport. Similarly, Kenya was also crowned with three awards as having the continent's Leading Airline 2024, Africa's Leading Airline-Business Class 2024, and Africa's Leading Airline Brand 2024.

Kenya’s capital, Nairobi City, scooped Africa's Leading Business Travel Destination in 2024 while neighboring Tanzania was gated as Africa's Leading Destination.

Equally, Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at JKIA was feted as Africa’s leading airport hotel in 2024. World Travel Awards was conducted to celebrate excellence in the aviation sector.
